Day 2 - June 6 - D-day!
Woke to torrential rain and wind today. The coaches donned their rain gear, and headed to the Henley Rowing Club to rig our near new Vespoli VHP 55 8, and Hudson 4-. Unpacked and setup our new Concept 2 oars. Bringing the Shimano shoes was a great call. The team slept in, enjoyed the food and rest, and showed up to practice at 2PM for the first adventure on the storied Thames. The equipment is excellent, and despite the wind, the sun shone for a short time and the cobwebs are getting worked out. A successful first day sightseeing around Temple Island. Two practices tomorrow, with slightly better weather in store. Bonus, we have two coaching bikes and they are in service, after slight adjustments and some tyre air! Cheers!
